Retail Lab Activity

Marketing Department at School of Business and Economics (SBE), planned a Tourism Retail Lab activity for the participants of 6 (six) different courses in collaboration with Center for Retail & Services Marketing (CRASM). The activity held at the most popular tourist spot of Pakistan- Murree Hills.
In line with UMT’s philosophy of experiential learning, the activity was aimed to provide the participants with the first hand experiential knowledge of different retail operations and activities including understanding retail consumer behavior, retail strategy mix (image, format, etc.), merchandising, category and space management etc. Participants also observed and learned the dynamics and importance of developing tourism retail industry in the context of its role in the economic development of geographic region.
