With cross cultural experience of more than fourteen years in the corporate/private sector from organizations both in Pakistan and Germany, Asher brings with him concepts and knowledge about the revolutionary field of Supply Chain Management from abroad and is now considered amongst the new breed of dynamic “Supply Chain Trainers” blending practical concerns effortlessly. Employees from most of the multinational firms have been trained by him during training workshops in the areas related to supply chain management. Being a specialist consultant in the same area, his last consultancy project was regarding the development of Supply Chain Performance Measurement Systems for one of the well-known textile weaving firm.

Asher has authored number of research papers in his ardent area too. His future interests are in the area of services supply chain management and CPFR. He has been an AD-HOC member of reviewer board of 6 ISI impact factor journals. Asher is currently working as an Assistant Professor and also served as the Director of MBA Program at SBE for more than four years. His current administrative domain is Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Being the director of the center, he has brought collaboration of IBA-Karachi with the CENTIN at UMT. Besides his enrollment in doctorate program in supply chain management, Asher previously, has done his MS in Production Management from Germany, on full scholarship. He also holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from UET, Lahore.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Working as Assistant Professor, trainer, consultant since 2006 at UMT. As business development engineer at Packages Ltd. in 2003-04 and as an assistant manager logistics in 2005-06 at the same place. Key account manager for Pakistan Tobacco Company at Packages Ltd for one year, where I was responsible for managing the overall supply chain of Packages-PTC-Packages link. A less than a year experience at Legler-Nafees Textile Mills, Kasur, Pakistan as assistant mechanical engineer.

An overall of one and a quarter year experience approximately as an internee at a firm in Germany known at Koerber A.G, National Refinery at Karachi, Pakistan and National Techno Services at Lahore, Pakistan.
