Dr. Rukhsana Kalim invited Dr. Nawaz Ahmad, Assistant Professor at the University of Lahore as a guest speaker in her MPhil (Economics) Class of WTO, Globalization and Economic Integration on May 2, 2018. Dr Nawaz Ahmed earned his Ph.D degree in Economics from NCBA&E and has 17 years of teaching experience. He has supervised 20 MS thesis. He has several international and national publications to his credit.
The objective of the talk was to discuss with the students of the export performance of Pakistan’s economy. The speaker profoundly discussed causes of poor exports, targets, major trading partners, key factors and pillars of trade under the heading of “Contemporary Exports Performances and Way Forward”. The speaker shared his current pertinent article on “Comparative Advantages Countries have in their Product” with students.
In the end, students asked questions which were answered by the speaker diligently. At the end of the informative session Dr. Shahid Hassan on behalf of Dr. Rukhsana Kalim thanked the guest speaker and presented a memento to him as a token of appreciation.
