Poverty poster competition was organized by the economics club on October 21, 2017. In poster competition more than 70 groups of UMT participated. Participants made the posters for highlighting different issues and aspects of poverty; they mainly focused on the themes of urban and rural poverty. After short listing the outstanding posters, top five posters were selected for prizes by the respected Judges ‘Mr. Nouman Arshed, Miss Afia Mushtaq, Mr. Umair Khan and Mr, Ibrahim’.
The event was arranged by Miss Afia Mushtaq (coordinator of Economics Club), Fatima Jamil (president of Economics Club) Abdul Jawad (general secretary) Ali Yasir (event manager) and the members of economics club. The purpose of this competition was to drive the attention on the issues of poverty and to create awareness among the students about such issues.
