ICDI 2016 Held in Malaysia
Journal of Management and Research (JMR) in collaboration with Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) has co-organized a research conference in Malaysia, titled International Conference on Disruptive Innovation (ICDI 2016) held on 24th to 25th September 2016. This was the first ever International conference of UMT organized out side Pakistan.
Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad, Rector UMT, Dr. Premkumar Rajagopal, President of MUST and Mr. Bugs Tan, Inventor / Author at Uncle Bugs Creations were amongst the keynote speakers of the conference. Dr. Hasan delivered his key not address through the video link. His keynote speech was very much appreciated by the organizers and participants of the conference. Dr. Atif Hassan, Chairperson, Department of Management was the Chairperson of the conference session and member of the organizing committee. There was a tremendous participation from UMT faculty members and students who presented their research papers in this conference. The unique feature of the conference was that it covered disruptive innovations with diversified ideas from a variety of disciplines including Information Technology and Telecommunication, Library Sciences, Bio Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business and Management, Earth and Environment and Social Sciences. The participants interacted meticulous during question/answer session that made all sessions of conference very purposeful.
Journal of Management and Research (JMR) partnered this conference. JMR is an HEC recognized journal managed by Department of Management, HSM. Selected papers from this conference will be published in the upcoming issue of the JMR.
Dr. Premkumar Rajagopal, President MUST concluded the conference with a special thanks to UMT for their support from conception to implementation of the conference. He regarded this conference as a successful event and announced the second International conference to be held next year with collaboration of UMT & MUST.
