Mr. Abbas Haider Zaidi and Mr. Arbab Cheema, representatives from Escort Capital Ltd held a workshop with the students on Friday. Huge number of students participated in the workshop and benefited from the training. The students got to understand technical analysis on one of the most sophisticated software available to investors, the Metastock, which was connected to the terminal. Thus students saw real life, practical implementation of technical analysis tools and understood how the can be used to determine the resistance levels and trading points.
Mr. Arbab pointed out to the students the dire need of well trained HR in the field of brokerage and investment, He also emphasized that this industry was one that makes the greatest returns and the historical earning trends show an over all long term increase in returns. Finally he pointed out that once finance graduates are trained in investment and portfolio management they can never be jobless as they can enter the Stock market with minimum capital requirements.
Mr. Abbas told the students about market timing. He also said that good investors focus on a combination of the fundamentals of the stock, the technical analysis and the KSE screen board. He said anyone who can take a risk and hold with its consequences can become a good investor and should try this field.
